THREE Brits have been arrested in Alicante after a 31-year-old man was shot four times behind a chiringuito bar on the Costa del Sol.
The victim, from Lithuania, survived multiple wounds to his chest and legs after being shot behind a car park near the Andalucia Beach residential complex in Estepona.
Gunshots were heard at about 5.30pm on July 28 in what investigators suspect was a targeted attack relating to a dispute between rival drug gangs.
The assailants were wearing hoods to mask their identities, according to witnesses, and quickly fled the scene in a dark-coloured car with foreign number plates.
Staff working at the nearby Sonora Beach bar rushed to help the bloodied victim, who was later taken to Costa del Sol University Hospital in Marbella for further treatment.

The Policia Nacional detained three suspects – all British nationals – during an operation in Orihuela Costa, Alicante last week, with details of the arrests only emerging on Friday.
The area is home to a large British expat population.
Officers drafted in from the Costa del Sol raided homes in La Zenia urbanisation, with investigators allegedly discovering weapons, forged documents and a small quantity of drugs.
Two of the suspects were remanded in custody after appearing before a judge in Orihuela.
The third man was released on bail as the investigation into the attack continues.
The suspects are being investigated for offences including attempted murder, drug trafficking, membership of a criminal organisation, document forgery, vehicle theft and the illegal possession of weapons.
Police believe the attack was a settling of scores related to rival narco gangs.
The investigation remains under judicial secrecy and police have not ruled further arrests.
