His female partner has been charged with drug trafficking, after a police search of her property uncovered narcotics.

Three of the detainees were Spanish and a fourth came from Morocco.

The police investigation was launched after the victim filed a complaint that he had several shots fired at him while he was having a coffee.

Though none of the bullets struck the man, some hit his van.

Expressions of hatred were also directed against him as he was called a ‘Moorish s—t’ and was also told to ‘speak Spanish’.

The Policia Nacional tried to find the culprit and heard about a van on nearby roads where its occupants were carrying firearms.

It was found at a petrol station and the occupants tried to drive off when officers arrived but the van was intercepted.

A search of the vehicle turned up a firearm with two bullet cartridges.

The main suspect was arrested along with another man of Moroccan origin.

A warrant was then obtained to search three addresses linked to the shooter which yielded two additional arrests for drug trafficking.

The searches found around 3700 grams of marijuana, 30 grams of hashish, and a precision scale.

Police also removed around €300 in cash, two bulletproof vests and a katana sword.
