A BRITISH fugitive wanted for drug trafficking has been arrested by the Policia Nacional in Valencia province.
The 50-year-old man lived under a false identity in Torrent and illegally kept three guns.
The Brit had a European Arrest Warrant issued against him by UK authorities.
SEIZED WEAPONS
The Policia Nacional learned that he could be staying in a villa and organised a a series of surveillance operations to verify it was the suspect.
Officers noted that he had changed his appearance and barely left his home.
A team then was put together, including members of the Special Security Operational Group and the Canine Unit, to raid the property last Friday(August 16).
The raid yielded his arrest and three vintage guns- without any documents to authorise their possession- were seized.
Also removed were bogus Romanian documents including an identity card, a passport, and a driving licence.
€4,420 in cash was impounded during the police operation.
The British national was jailed and the National Court in Madrid will handle the UK’s extradition request.
No further details about the man and his UK charges have been disclosed.
